Accessibilty Findabilty Usability – task1
In relation to terms Accessibility and Usability, Findabilty
I chose examples of websites which in my opinion, reflects these qualities
Accessibility – The Royal Photographic Society – Home – RPS www.rps.org – it is a closed group of photographers, most private information and picture – gallery is available for registered users only … but general information, article, tips and even training are available to all, simple navigation on this page is well organized.
Usability – http://karltaylorportfolio.com/ this page has the simplicity and purity in appearance … it is very useful because beside clean and easy to navigate gallery, this page has a link- dedicated to courses, training and advice.
Findabilty a good example to show Findabilty in website is national geographic web, because when you search in google, for this web page, we see a window in which we can then choose the interesting topic … to watch pictures do not have to enter to Main Page – National Geographic
A little more about this topic
Is it at all possible to create a website, which can easily be used by anyone? what to do for people with disabilities to have full access to the information contained on a website? , Accessibility is difficult, when creating a web site, you should reflect on its policy implementation and proper application of all recipients.
Findability can be explained simply as the ability to be rediscovered. This refers not only to the web. It goes even beyond the industry, findability of websites consist of 4 basic factors:
Fidability determines the easy method to find any useful and desired information. It is wise to become familiar with this concept so that in the future, you can create or improve their own page, so potential customers can find you.
web-usability is a web design for the best possible ergonomics. Keep in mind that a well-designed site – corporate site or online store – has a much higher conversion of potential customers and attracts several times more users than a similar service with illogical and counterintuitive information.
A good example of such a website
Amazon web – the desktop version of the site is optimized for both tablets and desktop screens, easily handle both this page using a tablet computer or mobile Mobile . Another site that I like is the simplicity and elegance of Apple’s website. Navigation is easy and search for the product is not a problem.
Photography website- it is important for me that the page itself does not receive attention of the viewer… from my pictures … very simple and clear arrangement of the gallery on the muted colors – which are show in examples below.. are a good graphic website design.
